Walter O. Flemke

A farmer at heart, Walter grew up in the County of Minburn and graduated from the University of Alberta. One of his main areas of focus is Corporate Law.


Rebekah H. Warkentin

A University of Victoria graduate, Rebekah articled with the firm and became a partner in 2015. She is a Collaborative family lawyer.

John H. Reynolds Q.C practised law in the town of Vermilion from his articling year until his retirement in December 2015. Beginning as Tibbitt & Reynolds, the office relocated to the Vermilion Professional Building after its construction in 1975 and continues to operate from that location.


Walter O. Flemke articled in Edmonton, Alberta and joined the firm in 1989. In 1992, he became a partner and the firm became known as Reynolds & Flemke. Our firm name changed again in 2015 to Vermilion River Law with the addition of Rebekah H. Warkentin as a partner.


Our Offices:

We are located in the Vermilion Professional Building (50th Avenue across from the Co-op Gas Bar). There is a wheel chair accessible entrance on the West Side of the building, beside the parking lot. We are open Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:30, closed from 12:00-1:00 for lunch. We are closed on holidays.

Real Estate - Whether you are buying, selling or refinancing, either of our lawyers would be pleased to assist you. We can complete property transactions anywhere in the Province of Alberta.


Wills & Estate Planning - Having a Will, Enduring Power of Attorney and Personal Directive in place allows for your affairs to be in order. We have Estate Planning Questionnaires available at the office to start the process, following which we invite you to schedule an appointment.


Estate Administration - When a loved one has died, our office can guide you through the next steps of administration, including dealing with various assets and applying for probate or administration, if necessary. We can also advise personal representatives about their role and responsibilities.


Corporate/Commercial - Whether you are a large farm corporation planning for the next generation of farmers or an oilfield truck driver wondering whether it might be time to incorporate, we are happy to assist you. We often work hand in hand with your accountant to determine what the next steps might be in your business plan. Walter practises extensively in the area of Corporate law, with an interest in Farm Corporations.


Collaborative Family Law - Rebekah is a member of the Collaborative Lawyers Association of Lloydminster and Area.
